President and CEO of Centurion Energy International, Said Arrata, recently disclosed reports that testing of the Gelgel-1 gas well in the southern region of the Manzala Concession in Egypt has concluded successfully.
The newly discovered concession, said Arrata, will significantly boost the development of Manzala, according to Middle East North Africa Today.
Presently, the well is shut so that pressure data can be analyzed for reserve estimates. Test conducted entailed the perforation of two gas zones, which revealed that gas flows reached a rate of 31 million cubic feet over a three-day period and were free of impurities.
Consequently, future development will now be carried out at Gelgel-1 as well as at the Abu Monkar gas field nearby in the Manzala concession. –(Mena Report)
