The three-day international property investment and development show, Retail City, opens its doors today at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC), offering retail property professionals the opportunity to network, develop joint ventures, express views, and identify new investment opportunities in the Middle East.
The show, which will run until Tuesday, June 6, is being organized by the Institute International for Research (IIR), according to Khaleej Times, in response to the extraordinary retail revolution prevalent throughout the region.
"The idea for the event was conceived at Cityscape 2005. We conducted a number of surveys and out of the 24,000 participants we found that 46 percent of visitors were seeking retail investment opportunities and 37 percent of exhibitors were hoping to make contact with retail developers. That clearly justified our decision to provide dedicated support to this dynamic sector,” said Retail City International Exhibition Director, Franck Dailles.
The conference will offer an ideal platform for retail professionals to discus the latest retail investment strategies, provide insight into planning techniques, and address the region’s rapidly changing retail landscape.
In addition, conference sessions will address retail development and issues internationally and locally, while mixed-use developments will be reviewed. Outstanding achievements in the retail industry throughout the Middle East will be recognized today with the awarding of ‘Retail City Awards’.
