The service provider agreement gives Partners and Danimex, the right to distribute and market Thuraya's mobile satellite services and products throughout Yemen and Nigeria, respectively. Thuraya's chairman, Mohammad Omran, said that “Yemen is a key market for Thuraya services and we will work closely with the Partners Company towards enhancing the telecommunications services and meeting the needs of customers in various sectors in Yemen."

Nashwan Al-Hamdi, Deputy Chairman of the privately held Yemeni enterprise, Partners, noted that “Yemen has a big geographic area with many scattered and remote communities, and we are confident that the border-to-border telecommunications coverage offered by Thuraya’s mobile satellite system would be a significant boost to the existing telecom infrastructure in Yemen.“
