Thuraya signs up service provider in Morocco

The Thuraya satellite telecommunications company is expanding its regional service provider network and has forged strategic alliance in Morocco with CKM Holding. The deal reinforces the company’s presence in the Northern African region, after distribution agreements in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Mauritania have already been signed. 

 

The CKM agreement has brought the worldwide number of Thuraya service provision agreements to 38, throughout Europe, Africa and Asia.  

 

CKM Holding is a telecom operator and investor, and has a satellite telecommunications subsidiary, GulfSat Maghreb. It also has another mobile and payphone distribution subsidiary, Teleboutiques. 

 

Thuraya is a UAE-based regional mobile satellite company, having launched Its first satellite on October 21, 2000. Thuraya is distributing its services through a network of public and private telecom operators. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
