ALBAWABA - Social media users in the United States have been complaining that TikTok is down and is facing major glitches.
A person wrote on X, "I done restarted my TikTok, my phone, updated it, turned my wifi off and NOTHING."
Another added, "So everyone TikTok isn’t working either? I can’t search anything." An X user joked about the glitch, saying, "Me coming to Twitter to find out if TikTok is down."
The TikTok app has been facing outages in the past 24 hours, according to downdetector website. With some people suggesting the app error comes after the deal and the sale of TikTok.
TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, announced on Thursday reaching a huge deal about the popular video app with the U.S.
The deal includes that non-Chinese investors will own about 80 percent of the American venture. ByteDance will keep 19.9 percent of it, The New York Times reported.
