Total assets value of Arab banks advance

A recently issued banking study by Dr. Mahmoud Abu El-Ayoun, former Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, shows that the total assets value of Arab banks has developed noticeably in recent years to reaching $766 billion by the end of 2004. The study shows that the total US dollar- denominated customer deposits at the Arab banks increased to $506.8 billion by the end of 2004, a 14.8% growth compared with the previous year.
