According to Al-Yaum newspaper, a recently publicized study by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry shows that the trade balance between the USA and the Gulf Council Countries (AGCC) had reflected a $15 billion US-deficit in 2005.

According to the report, the value of the USA's total imports from the Gulf Council Countries (AGCC) is put at $34.5 billion in 2005. Meanwhile, the value of the USA's imports from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is put at $27 billion in 2005, which is equivalent to 79% of the USA's total imports from the Arabian Gulf Council Countries (AGCC) in the same year.
