Trade between UAE and USA continued to be favorable towards the USA, with surplus last year hitting USD 7 bn. More than half (52%) of USA's imports from the UAE were base metals and metal products, accounting for 18%, mineral products and textiles and textile articles, both having a share of 17% each, chemicals and
chemical products 16%, and semi-precious/precious stones and metals and jewelry 7%. The bulk of exports to the UAE consisted of machinery and electrical and electronic equipment (17%) and vehicles, aircrafts and parts (52%).
