Tunis and Tripoli are keen on activating agreements and MoUs over Libya's crude oil supplies to Tunisia, a Tunisian government official said Friday.
Minister of state for economic affairs Redha Saeedi said the two countries voiced desire to activate bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) over Libyan crude oil supplies to Tunisia.
His remarks came after a meeting between Tunisian prime minister Ali Larayedh and visiting Libyan minister of oil and gas Abdulbardi Arousi.
He said the two men discussed Tunisia's request to import Libyan crude oil with preferential prices, as well as cooperation in oil refining.
Arousi, meanwhile, met with Tunisian oil commerce and traditional industries minister Abdulwahab Maatar on the establishment of a free trade zone, and the fight against cross-border smuggling.
