Prime Minister Habib Essid Sunday received in Dar Edhiafa, Carthage, a delegation from the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) headed by Chair Wided Bouchamaoui.
The meeting focused on the economic and social situation in the country as well as on the state of affairs in sectors in difficulty, including textile, leather, the food industry and handicrafts, Bouchamaoui said.
The Premier reacted positively to some proposals put forth by members of the delegation to address the challenges facing these sectors, she indicated.
Wided Bouchamaoui also said regular meetings will be held with Essid and the government members to examine the socio-economic situation in the country and discuss the role of businessmen and investors in reducing unemployment among higher education graduates.
