Turkey’s exports reach all-time high for 2003

Turkey exported $47.9 billion worth of goods in 2003, a 32.4 percent increase compared to figures from last year, reported Hurriyet

 

Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) Oguz Satici announced the closing figures for the year at a Friday news conference. He said that exports increased by 51 percent during the month of December reaching $4.9 billion.  

 

Industrial products formed 83.9 percent of Turkey’s exports in 2003, earning $40 billion according to TIM data.  

 

Turkey exported $37.6 billion worth of goods in 2002 with Germany and the United States among its largest trading partners. Main export products included apparel, textiles and foodstuffs. — (menareport.com)
