As of July 1, Turk Ticaret Bankasi will not be allowed to provide banking services, according the new decision of the Turkish Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Authority (BRSA).

Due to the inability to sell the three banks, BRSA has also decided to unite Interbank, Eskisehir Bankasi and Etibank under the new name of Etibank A.S., reported the Anatolia news agency late last week. The transfer is to be finalized by July 2nd, in which case Interbank A.S.'s and Esbank T.A.S.'s permits will be revoked.

Under the new system, all financial services of the two banks will be offered through the various branches of Etibank A.S., and customers and depositors of Interbank and Esbank will immediately become those of the new combined bank. Etibank has ensured customers that their deposits are under guarantee of the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund. — (MENA Report)
