Turkish company FNSS Nurol on Friday signed a $300-million deal to supply 211 armoured cars to the Malaysian army, the Anatolia agency announced, citing the Turkish embassy at Kuala Lumpur.

It is the biggest arms deal signed by a private Turkish company to a foreign client and came after two years of negotations, said informed sources.

FNSS Nurol signed a deal in 1997 to supply the United Arab Emirates with 136 armoured cars. It has already produced 1,300 such vehicles for the Turkish army. – (AFP)
