Two American civilian defense workers, employees of the San Diego-based Information Technology (IT) company Tapestry Solutions Inc., were shot Tuesday, January 21, in Kuwait when fire opened on their sport utility vehicle (SUV), near the main US military base in the emirate, Camp Doha.
The ambush attack left one dead and one severely injured. The gunmann managed to flee the scene. Tapestry Solutions specializes in graphical software simulating military training. The company installs software for the US military based in the Gulf. The company has 44 employees worldwide.
More than 15,000 US soldiers and civilian personnel are currently deployed in Kuwait, while as many as 8,000 American expatriates reside in the Gulf emirate. — (menareport.com)
