A new air traffic agreement has been signed between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Thailand.
According to the agreement, the national airlines of both countries will have unlimited rights to carry out scheduled flights using any type of aircraft between the two states. Thai Airways currently flies 11 times weekly to the UAE, while Emirates and Gulf Air have 14 and 11 flights respectively.
Over 105 airlines operate into Dubai, connecting to 145 destinations. In 2003, 18 million passengers passed through Dubai International Airport while over 20 million are expected this year. According to forecasts, 60 million passengers are expected by the year 2010. — (menareport.com)
