UAE: eCompany, Microsoft announce alliance

eCompany, Etisalat’s one-stop e-powerhouse business unit, announced an alliance with Microsoft Corporation to enhance its technology solutions and service portfolio and extend the market reach of both entities in the region.

 

The alliance was signed by Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, GM-eCompany and Emre Berkin – Regional Chairman, Microsoft Middle East & Africa  in Dubai.

 

Under the terms of the arrangement, eCompany and Microsoft will roll out integrated market specific solutions enabling a seamless experience for customers in terms of user convenience not only in the UAE but in the entire region.


Microsoft will also undertake to develop a comprehensive and competitive licensing scheme for eCompany which will run the gamut of Microsoft software commercial licensing for their customers. Furthermore, Microsoft and eCompany will develop special programs that address the needs of national governments.

 

From a technology transfer perspective, both the entities will work on a joint business and technology review to be conducted through joint workshops.
