Shaikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Cooperation, has discussed ways of cooperation with a number of international ministers and officials.
The discussions were held during the UAE delegation’s participation in the 68th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Shaikha Lubna met with St. Lucia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Alpha Baptiste and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership in various fields between the two countries.
During the meeting, Shaikha Lubna thanked the St. Lucia government for nominating the UAE in its bid to host World Expo 2020 in Dubai, stressing the full trust gained by the UAE at the international level.
This success is connected to its open policies and the pivotal stature it enjoys at regional and global levels, which contributed to gaining international support for hosting the global event.
Shaikha Lubna also met with Gudrun Kopp, Germany’s Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. They discussed ways of cooperation between the UAE and Germany and the two countries’ contributions in developmental and humanitarian work in various fields, such as water management and ensuring education in developing countries.
