UAE healthcare group launches Dh50 million expansion plan

UAE healthcare firm, the DR. Azad Moopen's Group, plans to invest 50 million Emirati dirhams ($13.6 million) in new Dubai facilities. The group purchased property at the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) to set up a clinic and intends to establish a 60-bed specialized-services hospital near Safa Park by mid-2004.  

 

The group will also venture into other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets, starting with Doha, Qatar and the establishment of a 50-outlet regional pharmacy chain, Medshop, is in the works, reported Gulf News.  

 

Established 15 years ago, Moopen’s network of clinics serves more than 150,000 patient, while its pharmacy chain recorded one million customers a year. The group’s turnover reached Dh50 million a year. — (menareport.com)
