In the Middle East, UAE is number one for online job opportunities as the country registered a robust annual growth of 33 percent, according to the latest edition of the Monster Employment Index.

Hospitality recorded the most notable growth with 35 percent over the year in June, while healthcare ranked top in annual growth at 32 percent amongst the occupation groups. Kuwait was at second with a 30 percent year-on-year growth in online job opportunities in June, followed Qatar, 23 percent and Oman, 20 percent. The Monster Employment Index Middle East recorded 39 percent on an annual basis. Hospitality led all industry sectors with a 52 percent annual growth, while retail, trade and logistics continued to register strong growth of more than 40 percent

Production and manufacturing recorded a 46 percent growth in the region, while automotive and ancillary, up 41 percent, continued to remain amidst the top growth sectors in June. Oil and gas, and BFSI were up three percent, registering the lowest annual growth. Among occupation groups, sales remains strong, with growth year-over-year 58 percent, engineering and production, 27 percent and travel and tourism occupations, 24 percent. Legal professionals registered the lowest annual growth.

The Monster Employment Index is a monthly gauge of online job demand in Middle East-based on a real-time review of tens of thousands of employer job opportunities culled from a large representative selection of career Web sites and online job listings.
