There will be no introduction of taxes in the UAE, Dr. Mohammed Khalfan bin Kharbash, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry, stressed on Saturday. Addressing the American Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Kharbash said: “There will be no introduction of taxes in the UAE. That is the policy.”

Recently, there were some reports in the local media about the introduction of corporate income taxes in the country, Khaleej Times reported.

Speaking about the future of the UAE-US economic relations and trade, he called for a fully-fledged Free Trade Agreement between the two sides. “It goes without saying that the signing of a fully-fledged Free trade Agreement in the fullness of time will constitute a significant milestone in our efforts to drive forward economic progress here."
