According to the Gulf News, the UAE will publish an official Consumer Price Index (CPI) following a nationwide household survey next month. The Ministry of Economy will launch a national survey to prepare an accurate official Consumer Price Index (CPI), according to Abdullah Al Saleh, undersecretary at the ministry. Inflationary pressures due to the brisk growth in the UAE's economy have been hurting consumers badly. The news also comes following the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (DCCI) initiative to release its own CPI.
