UAE: Six square kilometer plot of land for smelter project

A six square kilometer plot of land was recently allocated by the Abu Dhabi Ports Company for the development of the USD6-billion world class smelter project. The area, adjacent to the Al Taweelah power stations complex in the north east of the Khalifa Port heavy industry zone and Industrial Zone, will be the site of the project, jointly developed by Mubadala Development Company and Dubai Aluminum Company (DUBAL) according to WAM.
