Recently published statistics by the Emirates Central Bank show that the value of exchanges between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the rest of the Arabian Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) members increased significantly over the past few years, reported Al-Bayan . The value of trade between the UAE and these states increased to 9.35 billion Emirati Dirhams ($2.5 billion) in 2000, up from Dh 8.37 billion in 1998.
