The value of exports from Iranian border markets amounted to US$250.23 million during the first five months of current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2005), indicating a 64.4 percent jump compared to same period of the previous year.
According to Iran's Customs Administration, exports via border markets maintained 10 percent of Iran's total exports.
Border markets of Parvizkhan with US$41 million (16.4 percent), Yazdan with US$40 million (16 percent) and Mil-73 with US$28.7 million (11.5 percent) had the highest share of exports during the five month period, Irna reported.
