The Energy Ministry released Friday preliminary figures on Venezuela's export basket of crude oil that indicated that the Venezuela Export oil Basket closed the week ending Feb. 2 at $23.13, down $.13c from the previous week.
The average price for the basket of crude and products so far this year stands at $22.55/bbl.
According to the Energy Ministry, the average price of Venezuelan oil last year was $26.28/bbl. The average price for 1999 was $16.04/bbl.
