Vintage Petroleum, Inc. announced that the An Naeem #2 exploration well on the S-1 Damis Block in the Republic of Yemen has been drilled and tested through the targeted Alif zone.

The An Naeem #2 well was drilled to a total depth of 4,670 feet (1,424 meters) to evaluate the possible existence of an oil rim approximately 165 feet (50 meters) downdip of the An Naeem #1 well drilled earlier this year.

The An Naeem #2 well encountered what is interpreted on open hole logs to be approximately 120 feet (36 meters) of net pay in the Alif formation.

Initial testing of the primary targeted Alif zones revealed combined daily flow rates of 27.7 million cubic feet (MMcf) of gas and 880 barrels of condensate.
