The demand for Visa cards in Oman is growing year-on-year with figures revealing a 33 per cent increase in card numbers in June 20002 compared to figures from June 2001. Over the past four years card numbers have increased by a staggering 1,711 percent from 29,000 cards to now reach the milestone of half a million cards.
Visa-branded cards generate more than $2.3 trillion in annual volume and are accepted at more than 29 million physical locations around the world, including more than 800,000 automated teller machines (ATM).
