Comsearch, an Allen Telecom company, has confirmed the sale of its microwave path design software tool to support Vodafone's GSM network in Egypt. The product is currently licensed to four other Vodafone entities with multiple platforms deployed across Europe.
Designed by microwave engineers, the iQ.link software tool incorporates the ability to analyze per-exposure, cumulative and near-field effects to find channels that are free of conflicts, even in congested networks consisting of tens of thousands of microwave paths. Path outage algorithms utilize the latest ITU recommendations.
Vodafone Egypt, previously called Misrfone, was founded in November 1998 as an international consortium to establish and operate a GSM radio network across Egypt. Vodafone Egypt's major shareholder is Vodafone. — (menareport.com)
