UAE speculators continued for a second straight day on Sunday to dump Emaar shares, though heavy buying later in the day eased losses.

Property heavyweight Emaar fell 5.52 percent to Dh16.25, recovering after falling to Dh15.60 in intra-day trade, according to Gulf News.

Some 68 million Emaar shares, totaling some Dh1.1 billion, were traded.

"It was a very volatile last hour with speculators dumping Emaar. This pushed some of the smaller investors to sell as well but we knew there would be good support at the 600 levels," said an independent stocks analyst P Krishna Murthy.
