Volvo Cars Middle East announced that after a long and effective partnership with Zahid Tractor & Heavy Machinery Company Limited- one of the Kingdom’s leading and most reputable business enterprises- a new dealer for Volvo will be appointed in the Kingdom. This decision comes after Zahid Tractor announcing it new strategic plans.
Tomas Ernberg, Managing Director of Volvo Cars Middle East commented: “Due to strategic decisions made Zahid Tractors to exit the car industry, a new dealer will be appointed for Volvo cars in the Kingdom. This partnership was very successful and we respect their decision. We will always have close ties with Zahid Tractor who will remain Volvo Truck, Volvo Bus and Renault Truck’s exclusive distributor in Saudi Arabia.”
Ernberg added:” We will appoint a new dealer for Volvo Cars in the near future. We assure our Saudi customers that we will be working closely with Zahid Tractor and the new franchisee to assist the transfer of the franchise and to remain providing high quality services.”
As part of this new strategy, Zahid Tractor will end its passenger car franchise agreement with Renault Cars, Volvo Cars and Ssang Yong Motor Company. Zahid has informed each company of it decision and stressed that “our decision was not easy as Renault, Volvo and Ssang Yong have been excellent partners, with world class products, and Zahid Tractor has been privileged to worth with them for many years”.
While new dealers are appointed, Zahid Tractor’s showrooms and after-sales facilities will remain open for business, offering customers high quality vehicles at great value, as well as first class service. Mr. Zahid emphasized that by working closely with the manufacturers and new distributors would not be affected adversely by the decision.
