Wanadoo signs agreement with Al Hikma Pharmaceutical
Jordan Telecom Group’s (JTG) ISP Wanadoo has signed an agreement with Al Hikma Pharmaceutical Group whereby the first will provide IPVPN-MPLS services to connect Al Hikma’s different branches with an effective data exchange network.
The signing ceremony convened at JTG headquarters with Vice President/ Jordan Telecom Group and CEO Internet & Data Business Unit "Wanadoo", Mr. Sami Smeirat, and Al Hikma GFO Mr. Bassam Kana’an signing on behalf of their entities in the presence of the CEO of Jordan telecom Group Mr. Mickael Ghossein and Mr.Ahmad Hamzawi, head of Middle East and North Africa for Orange Business Services.
“This agreement comes to reinforce the international dimension of Wanadoo’s business operations. Our expertise will give our client a first class and reliable service,” said Mr. Sami Smeirat. “The service is sought to provide crucial data exchange facilities, both secure and fast, between the Company’s headquarters and its international branches,” he added.
Mr. Bassam Kana’an, Al Hikma Pharmaceuticals GFO, expressed his pleasure in conducting this agreement with Wanadoo: “We aimed to develop and upgrade the connection network between our branches in the world. Hikma Pharmaceuticals business necessitates timely and safe data exchange between the mother Company in Jordan and our international branches.”
The agreement stipulated that four of Al Hikma’s international sites will be connected to the local site with private networks.
Wanadoo’s IPVPN-MPLS service enables path optimization for traffic, using routing protocols that allow convergence in a fast, controlled and scalable form. The international IPVPN-MPLS service consists of communications within private networks, over a backbone of 100% fiber optic cables that provide high security level for the users.
Wanadoo is a member of the Jordan Telecom Group being the first to operate integrated services. The Group provides fixed line services through Jordan Telecom, GSM services through MobileCom, internet and data services through Wanadoo, content services through eDimension, as well as whole sale services.
