Clinova, a UK-based healthcare company, has developed a mobile app to help maintain optimum hydration throughout different activities.
The app helps you calculate the correct amount of water you need to consume daily in order to stay hydrated. Based on your activity, duration, intensity, weight, outside temperature and many other variables, the app accurately calculates the exact amount of water required for your body.

The app is based on findings from several studies, and was developed with the feedback of famous sporting personalities and professional sporting clubs including - Anthony Joshua, MBE and British professional boxer, The Yorkshire County Cricket Team and many others.
“Whatever the weather and the intensity of the exercise, hydration is a critical factor for performance,” said Arsalan Karim, director, Research and Development, Clinova.
“Before a competition or a strenuous activity, it is important not to drink too much or too little. During and after exercise or a physical activity, it is essential to compensate for the water and salts lost through perspiration by drinking enough water. While this app helps you calculate the proper amount of water you need to properly hydrate your body, it also helps you determine your hydration levels.”
Showcasing a host of features, the app lets you choose form 39 exercises and activities. It is developed with simple data input selection for accurate results and features a GPS, which allows the outside temperature to be factored into the final results. While the app accurately calculates the exact amount of water required, based on your chosen activity and your current hydration levels, it is easy and quick to use making it user friendly.
The app is available on iOS and Android phones, and is easy to install through creation of an account. In addition, a demonstration video and instructional information guide is built within the app to facilitate easy usage.
