ALBAWABA - Amazon's AI assistant, Alexa, has come under fire for providing inconsistent responses to questions about voting for Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

According to a report by the Washington Post, a recent update caused Alexa to offer a supportive answer for Harris, praising her as a “proven, strong candidate,” while it declined to provide a similar endorsement for Trump, stating, “I cannot provide content supporting a specific political party or candidate.”

Amazon spokesperson Kristy Schmidt attributed the inconsistency to an “error,” which has since been corrected. Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung criticized Amazon, questioning if the issue would have been addressed without social media exposure.

Videos of the differing responses have been widely shared on social media platforms, highlighting the controversy over Alexa’s handling of political questions.
