ALBAWABA - Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Youssef Shamali, reassured the public on Monday, affirming that Jordan will keep a substantial inventory of essential food items, goods, and merchandise.
During his inspection of commodity storage warehouses in the Juwaida area, Shamali reported that commodity prices are holding steady, providing stability through the end of the month of Ramadan 2024.

Khalil Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), echoed this sentiment, highlighting a notable 40% decline in the sale and consumption of food in markets since October 7, 2023.
Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, addressing the Cabinet session on Sunday, January 22, emphasized the security of Jordan's stock of basic goods. He assured that these essential items are readily available in both civilian and military consumer institutions at current prices, with strict control measures in place to regulate the markets throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
