More than two hundred businesswomen from Syria and abroad will converge at the Omayad Conference Palace Damascus for the Women in Business International Forum that will take place from 20-22 May 2005.
The event, which is under the patronage of HE Mrs Asma al Assad, the first lady of Syria; will be organised and hosted by Women in Business International (WiB), in conjunction with Al Mawred and the British Syrian Society.
Al Mawred, says the Syrian businesswomen stand to benefit greatly from the forum. This year keynote speakers will include: HRH Shaikha Mozza Al Misnad of Qatar, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammed – Former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Prof. Wangari Maathai MP – Nobel Peace Prize Laureate , Asst.Minister of Environment and Natural Resources –Kenya, Mrs Cherie Blair QC and Nasreen Berwari –Minister for Municipalities – Iraq.
During the forum a number of key topics from various business sectors will be presented by a number of distinguished business personalities.
