Xplore Technologies Corporation, an international developer, producer and distributor of rugged wireless computer systems, announced it has signed a distribution agreement in Saudi Arabia with the Abdulla Fouad Company (AFCO) and received the first order, valued at over one million dollars, which is scheduled for immediate delivery.
Under the agreement, AFCO will market Xplore's GeneSys(R) family of rugged pen tablet computing systems. With over 1,000 employees, AFCO provides Information Technology (IT) and communication services and consultation. AFCO's Computer Divisions have formed strategic and premier partnerships international players, including IBM, COMPAQ, QAD, QUEST, HP, Hubble and Wave Wireless.
Established in 1948, AFCO established a Computer Division (AFCD) in 1984. They offer a line of personal computers, specialized workstations; pocket PCs, hand-held devices, enterprise file servers, storage systems, PBX's, VOIP solutions, various peripherals, Laser and wireless networking solutions and support accessories.
Xplore Technologies, founded in 1996, operates in the rugged pen-based mobile wireless computing industry. Xplore, which is traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange, has offices in Austin Texas, Toronto Canada and Helsinki Finland. — (menareport.com)
