As in most other Arab states, the residents of Yemen have welcomed and supported the campaign organized by the head of the Yemeni parliament, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussein Al-Ahmar, calling for the boycott of all American and Israeli products.
According to Al-Watan newspaper, this campaign aims to express the Arab support of the Palestinian people who have been suffering from the Israeli policy.
The supporters of this boycott, mainly oppositionists, held a public conference stressing the importance of boycotting American and Israeli merchandise.
However, it was noted that the organizers of this conference ended up in a local restaurant drinking Coca-Cola, the US-manufactured soft drink. ¯ (Albawaba-MEBG)
