The World Bank will host the Yemen Consultative Group Meeting at its European office in Paris, on October 16 and 17, 2002. The meeting will bring together the authorities of Yemen with the community of official development partners, bilateral and multilateral partners and international organizations to discuss the country’s economic situation and its development plans and priorities towards poverty reduction.
The results of the meeting will be presented to the press. Press in Sana’a will be invited to participate by video-conference. The World Bank, Mouvement des Entreprises de France, (MEDEF International) and the Yemeni government are also inviting the business community to a Business Forum to discuss the business climate and opportunities in Yemen on October 18.
