In a bid to raise public awareness about how to save water, the Agricultural Development Organization of Hajja launched a five-day training program on irrigation. The trainees are learning methods of economic irrigation and how to make the best use of environmental awareness programs broadcast in the various media.
According to SABA, Governor of Hajja Mohammed al-Harazi said that hopes are pinned on 20 farmers, the only participants in the training, to pioneer a change of the traditional irrigation techniques that waste big quantities of the vital water reserves.
