CDA participates in Dubai Walk

The Community Development Authority (CDA) participated in the "Dubai Walk," an initiative undertaken by the Dubai Sports Council to encourage people to engage in sports and physical exercises on a daily basis.
CDA participated in the initiative through the Volunteers Affairs Section, established to enhance awareness on the importance of voluntary work in building cohesive and harmonious societies.
"The Volunteers Section at CDA strives to be part of events where Dubai residents from different cultures, backgrounds and nationalities come together, on account of their impact in developing links between communities" said Mr. Mohammad Bakkar, CEO Social Support Sector at CDA.
CDA established the Volunteers Section to highlight the importance of voluntary work by overseeing such work in its various forms, in addition to providing voluntary work opportunities to individuals and preparing them to develop and grow in this field.
CDA regularly communicates with all government bodies and private sector corporations to increase awareness of voluntary work. The participation of over 100 volunteers in "Dubai Walks" underscored the success of such efforts and the rising awareness on volunteering.
