Not extending the term of Israel's Mossad Chief Meir Dagan of his current post was decided as Israelis will never accept to have "losers" among them, said Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police. "[Meir] Dagan should have resigned long time ago as his intelligent service have been widely exposed by Dubai Police and the world especially with the recent expulsion of Israelis diplomats from western countries. We recommended him to save face and resign but he didn't," he was quoted as saying by Gulf News on Sunday.

According to him, there is an option that Dubai Police will issue an international Interpol arrest warrant against Dagan for his involvement in the January's assassination of Hamas Commander Mahmoud Al Mabhouh in a Dubai hotel. "I would want to request for his arrest but there is a time for everything," said Lt Gen Dahi It has been reported in Israeli press that Mossad chief Meir Dagan has been denied another year in his post and will step down in three months' time.

"I request from the Arab countries to learn a lesson for this incident and not to accept having losers among them," stated Khalfan.

According to recent reports in Israel over the weekend, Dagan, who has served as Mossad director since 2002, requested another year as head of the intelligence service, but was refused.
