DTCM Director General receives Chief Executive of TUI Cruises

Khalid A. Bin Sulayem, Director General of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), recently welcomed Richard J. Vogel, Chief Executive of TUI Cruises, one of the largest cruise companies in the world, and the accompanying delegation. The visit was aimed at getting a deeper understanding of the development of tourism in Dubai, and specifically the cruise tourism sector and the facilities that Dubai offers for cruise ships.  

Bin Sulayem took the opportunity to highlight to the delegation the year-on-year growth achieved by Dubai’s tourism industry. He also provided details of the various steps being taken by Dubai to boost tourism, and especially underlined the major investments in infrastructure and hospitality projects. Vogel was particularly impressed by the facilities that Dubai offers for marine tourism and the cruise industry.
