Dubai Airport Freezone wins Dubai Award for Human Development

HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airport Freezone, stressed the importance of human resource development as a key prerequisite for achieving the strategic mission of Dubai and the national economy at large. 

Sheikh Ahmed made these comments after receiving the ‘Dubai Award for Human Development’ from Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Director General, Dubai Airport Freezone. Organized by the Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai, the award was received in recognition of the zone’s role in developing national human resource capital and achieving the human development objectives set forth by the DED.  

On his part, Dr. Al Zarooni said: “Dubai Airport Freezone’s leadership vision is to improve the national human resource potential, while supporting excellence and innovation programs that offer special services to businessmen and foreign investors.” 

He added: “We believe that investing in human development goes beyond providing job opportunities for nationals. It is also important to ensure that strong training programs are put into place to help improve capabilities and support the UAE’s economy through innovation.” 

“Dubai Airport Freezone works to attract the best talent as it is our belief that the success of an institution is directly related to the strong development of its people. Human capital is the main asset of any organization.” 

He concluded by saying: “With regard to the development of human capital we are delighted to be aligned with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, thus keeping the UAE a top destination for international investment and serving the needs of organizations by providing world-class talent.”
