Iran, China trade up

The value of trade exchanges between Iran and China amounted to US$8.6 billion in the first three months of the Iranian year (beginning on March 21). Out of this sum, us$5.4 billion refers to Iran's export, Iranian Ambassador to Beijing Mehdi Safari said.

According to Fars news agency, the Iranian envoy has recently held talks with the Chinese vice minister of commerce, Chen Jian, on establishing a joint investment committee. Safari noted that the two countries' trade volume has increased by 33 percent in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year started on March 21.
