About 21 people including children were stuck mid-air for two hours after the wheel of a roller coaster fell off.
The incident took place at Gulliver's World in Warrington. The riders were stuck on the Crazy Train ride about 50ft above the ground. Children could be heard crying for help as parents watched in horror from the ground.
The Mirror reported that firefighters were called for the rescue who used ladders and scaffolds. All those trapped were rescued unhurt.
The video of the incident shows the ride suspended on the track.
"Next in the q (queue) for Gully's Crazy Train hear a crash as the wheels land on the floor. Ride stuck with those small children mid-ride! Never been so glad to still be waiting. Hope they get them down soon," Nicole Anastasia wrote on Facebook.
Sarah, a mother whose daughter was stuck on the ride said the wheel just flew off and the ride stopped.
"Staff had no idea what to do and flapped about - parents had to call the emergency services. Children are crying and screaming - including my daughter - it's just awful," she wrote on Twitter.
Matt, who was also stuck on the ride wrote on Twitter that he had been on the ride for an hour before the breakdown said it looked "shaky".
"I was on the ride an hour before this happened with my 5-year-old and partner, I actually commented to her that it looked a bit shaky. Hope everyone is ok."
According to the newspaper, a police spokesman confirmed there had been no casualties and 'there's no suggestion of anything criminal.'
"The park, which will be referred to the Health and Safety Executive on Monday, consists of multiple themed areas including Lilliput Land, Gully Town and Safari Kingdom."
The park has many rides and attractions for the children and adults.
