Egyptian authors dominated the bestsellers list on their opening day, with books such as Ahmed Khaled Towfik's Utopia, the English translation of which is out of print.
Several work were also featured for Egyptian superseller Ahmed Mourad and Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz. Other Egyptian authors featured included social satirist Ezzedine Choukri Fishere and Khaled al-Khamissi's Taxi.
Award winning works were also featured, including Youssef Zeidan's popular Azazeel and Ibrahim Nasrallah's 2018 winner, Dog War II.
Popular works, including JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Dan Brown novels, are also available.

Ahlam Mosteghanemi, a best-selling author, also welcomed the move.
