This spectacular bookstore uses mirrored ceilings and dozens of staircases to create a mind-boggling space.

The store, in Chongqing City, China, is part of the Zhongshuge chain - which is famous for giving each of its locations a unique look.

The newest of the stores, opened on January 25, uses huge mirrors and symmetrical staircases to create a mesmerising design.

It has even been likened to the Relativity print by Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher. This lithograph, created in 1953, depicts a world in which the normal laws of gravity do not apply.

The print's upside-down and sideways steps inspired the Impossible Staircase in the 2010 film Inception.

In the clip, customers are seen browsing the bookshelves - which are settled between staircases - and taking pictures of the unique store.

Others gaze in awe at the stunning mirrored ceiling above.

The bookstore also features an extravagant reading area for children, with pink carpets and shelves designed to look like mountains.

Zhongshuge was founded in 2013 and has branches in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Yangzhou, Chengdu, Suzhou and Wuxi.

The design of each store is unique, with Alice in Wonderland and futuristic themes elsewhere.
