A pair of fake Russian soldiers is guarding the remains of US President Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star, which Trump received in 2007 for his role on NBC's "The Apprentice," reports say.
The two grim-faced men dressed in olive green uniforms and thick hats were spotted “protecting” the star on Hollywood Boulevard, days after a man destroyed the star with a pickaxe.
The guards were seen carrying a Russian flag under the scorching California sun while wearing heavy outfits.
Los Angeles Police arrested Austin Clay who claimed responsibility for damaging the star.
Before the November 2016 election, a man named James Otis vandalized the star with a sledgehammer. Clay was bailed out of jail by Otis.
On Thursday, Trump’s supporters and opponents clashed violently at the site of the vandalism.
Opponents chanted slogans against Trump near the president’s destroyed star on one side of the sidewalk.
A group of Trump supporters however surrounded what appeared to be a cardboard cut-out of the president.
No arrests were reportedly made after the violent brawl.
The star was also defaced with spray paint in 2016.
