A 28-year-old Egyptian woman, Samar M, started feeling stifled for not being allowed to do any household chores by her husband, who owns a clothing store. And just two weeks into their marriage, she has filed a complaint in the court against him, seeking separation.

Samar says her 31-year-old husband does not allow her to involve in any household chores and she is bored as the man handles everything alone, according to Al Arabiya. "He cooks, cleans, sweeps and does the laundry."

The unemployed lady has filed a complaint in Family Court in New Cairo, saying, "My husband did not give me the freedom to handle my home affairs, I feel like a guest in a hotel."

"He is the 'woman of the house' and I'm hating my life with him. We've been married for only two weeks, and he is either cooking or doing the laundry because he knows how to sort the washable clothes by color. He then irons the clothes, sweeps, and arranges the food in the fridge."

"He would prepare a meal overnight if it needs so that he does not spend much time on it the next day."

Samar added that she spends time by watching him all day, while he moves stuff around looking very happy.
