Two Jordanian journalists came to blows on live television Tuesday night during an argument over the crisis in Syria, destroying the presenter's table.

Amman-based Bil-Etejahayn Show (the two ways) hosted the head of the Electronic Media Association in Jordan, Shaker al Jawhari, and the editor in chief of news website Al Mustaqbal al Arabi, Mohammad Sharif, who is a supporter of President Bashar Assad.

The host, Zuhari al Izza, struggled to hold the two apart when Sharif told Jawhari to shut up, a word that triggered the fight.

"The disingenuous is the one who supports massacring people," Jawhari said, prompting his opponent to tell the host to "have him shut up."

Jawhari then lifted the table, broke it into two and began cornering Sharif with it when other TV crew intervened to end the fight.

Lebanon has had its share of live fights in the past over the conflict in Syria, with the most memorable scuffle being between Mustapha Alloush, an official in the Future Movement, and the head of the Baath Party in Lebanon, former Minister Fayez Chukor.
